Dudwise International Hi Fi celebrates the power of the Jamaican reggae sound system and its global journey. Here the International Selekta is depicted as the king in the arena. The sound system is at the heart of the reggae movement. The sound system from Jamaica in the 1950s to the UK in the 60s and 70s, and then to Europe. The sound systems gave birth to ska, rocksteady, reggae, dub, dancehall, hip-hop, jungle, Dubstep and drum and bass – and taught nations and generations how to dance!
