Melissa can you tell me about your background and who are you? I will be 19 years old this year, and the life I am honored to have and live is completely wonderful. I am a very happy Mexican woman. I'm a friendly person, I'm always worrying about the welfare of my family and to achieve my dreams. I think the most important thing in life is to be happy and have always love. I also believe that love must be sincere and selfless. People should never stop dreaming because that is what makes the world magical. I am a woman who thinks we have to take full advantage of our life, in return live it well. We're already here, let’s have fun and dance!!!

What are you passionate about? Photography is one of my main passions in life and I want to be one of the best, the next is the art of painting and, finally, I am passionate about travel, I dream of traveling the world. The life I have is completely wonderful. I am a very happy woman, I am grateful to my parent’s for their support, because they are the pillars that motivate me to never give up on what makes me happy, what I like and passionate about.

What are your thoughts about the future of Mexico? I imagine a country where discrimination is abolished and laws enforced, where politicians are not corrupt and where there is a reduction of poverty. I want to see the laws protect all Mexican people regardless of their financial position in society, where all are friends and there is no competition among people, I would like to see the environmental protected and CO2 emissions are eradicated no just in Mexico but globally, I would like to see every one have the opportunity go to college and all Mexicans have jobs to support their family safely.

Who are the great Mexicans who inspire you? Jah Fabio, David Alfaro Siqueiros, Federico Cantú, María Izquierdo

What part of Mexico are you from, and what makes this place special? I'm from the state of Jalisco, from the municipality of Guadalajara. This is a state full of great natural beauty. It has beautiful forests and a very large lake. It is the largest lake in Mexico, there you can appreciate the wonderful sunsets. Its villages are picturesque and very cheerful. People here are very happy and we know how to be very kind to anyone who comes from outside, and make them feel like home!!

How would you like to change the world to be a better place? (I would like) that there are no wars or any struggles between countries to have power and control of everything. I would love to see an end violence, to see more love and less bullets. Religions that do not divide people. More good people, without the wish to kill. I would also like to see a growing awareness of caring for the world.

Do you think art can make a difference in the life of ordinary people? Sure! I am certain that art can make a difference in all people, not only in the common or ordinary people. The art can… art transforms people, makes us happier humans and certainly let us see life from a different point (of view).

Finally list your favorite reggae artistes Definitely my brother Jah fabio is on top of that list, but I love Sr wilson, Protoje, Luciano and Sizzla kalonji.
